Tingeltangel is Jens Robert Jørgensen's first solo show. The 29-year old artist paints on wooden boxes, which adds a solid three-dimensionality to his paintings. With their smooth and intensely coloured surfaces they stick out like a piece of wall, that demands full attention.

His sculptures are to be described as "freestanding paintings" in the sense, that they are more absorbed by surface than spatiality. In this way Jens Robert Jørgensen plays ironically with the genres.

Jens Robert Jørgensen's work is characterized by control and wild energy. It moves between refined detail and imagination's free rein.
