In unpolished but aesthetically aware works Peter Bonde explores the limits of painting and of art in general. Often he combines pure painting with untraditional materials and methods, or writes catchy words and sentences on monochromatic surfaces in an ironic play between language and painting. Sometimes his works are provocative and exceed common conceptions of art, but it is done to probe the aethetic possibilities of excess and of negation.
