Niels Bonde
Installation, photography
Born 1961 in Glostrup, Denmark.
Educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen 1981-83/1988-94, Stichting Computer Animatie, The Netherlands 1992-93, and Städelschule (Institut für Neue Medien), Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

In installations and photographs Niels Bonde often examines the somewhat nebulous interstices between privacy and the intrusion of various forms of surveillance, a relation that evokes fear as well as fascination in many people. One of the areas he has taken up is the influence and presence of computer technology in everyday life. In other works he focuses on questions of identity and human conditions, that involves the viewer brilliantly through the installatoric practice.
